Check out the right column of page 2 to read about Sensei Ramon The six of us that went to Santa Clara for the 2007 Ohana had a really good time... We were present when Carlos received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Martial Arts, a Lamplighter Award for outstanding contributions to Martial Arts, and an Associate Professorship, of which there have only been four in the history of the American Jujitsu Institute."
-Sensei Ramon Gallegos Also at the Ohana 2007 awards banquet, Ramon Gallegos was promoted to Yodan (4th Degree Black Belt). Congratulations, Ramon!" Congratulations to our teaching staff on their accomplishments, we are truly honored to be your students! -Sensei Randy Carrasco Wow! What a great night we all had, we got to catch up with a lot of people who we hadn't seen in a while, we ate some delicious food and were suprised by a series of promotions!
Then we all went over to Fullerton Junior College and took a group photo in front of their beautiful library building. It will be a night to remember! Group photos will be available at $15 each in a few weeks. Ask Josh or Carlos for details. The list of promotions is as follows: Rebecca Deuel received a long overdue Green Belt, she has come to class four nights a week for as long as most can remember and has won 1st place finishes in numerous competitions, even competing agaist higher ranks! Her dedication is a shining example to all of us. Ernesto "Smiley" Gopar received a well deserved Brown Belt. We always see Smiley in class with his wry grin and gentle art. He has been a dedicated student at Kaito Gakko for many, many years. Gerardo Markoch was promoted to Brown Belt, he wishes to thank each of his instructors for their guidance and willingness to share their wealth of knowledge with him. Ernest Hanaoka, long time friend and teacher to the students of Kaito Gakko Fullerton was awarded a Black Belt from Professor Carlos Gallegos and Kaito Gakko Fullerton. Professor Carlos Gallegos has been teaching at the School of Continuing Education's Wilshire Campus in Fullerton, California for 10 years now!
We are celebrating this milestone by doing our favorite activity, er...I mean... our second favorite activity... EATING!
