November 2-9, Oahu, Hawaii
After much anticipation, deliberation and otherwise just wishing we were in Hawaii, a group of about 25 members and family from Kaito Gakko Fullerton joined dojos from Southern California and Hawaii in Honalulu for this Ohana. We all gathered together to honor the memory of Uncle Dave Nuuhiwa and celebrate his legacy.
We worked out, learned from great instructors and witnessed some of the finer points of Hawaiian spiritual tradition. There was also much coconut cracking (Prof. Carlos sent juice flying on his first strike) and other festivities. We made many new friends and have only good things to report of our host, Kaito Gakko head Bruce Keolani who carefully planned the event and led us through an amazing ohana, Mahalo!
