Professor Carlos Gallegos
Kudan (9th Degree)

Professor Carlos Gallegos has been teaching martial arts in Orange County since the 1960s. Apart from his years of experience, he is also Uncle David Nu'uhiwa's senior student. Carlos has a wealth of knowledge in both Jujitsu and Karate, he holds the rank of 9th degree black belt under Kaito Gakko and 7th degree black belt under Shoshin Ryu Yudanshakai & the American Jujitsu Institute.

Professor Ramon Gallegos
Shichidan (7th Degree)

Ramon began studying the martial arts when he was 9 years old. First under Uncle David Nu'uhiwa, and later under the tutelage of his father Carlos. In 2000 Ramon recieved his Shodan from Uncle Dave. Ramon spent over 9 years as an assistant instructor and has been teaching his own Jujitsu and Judo class since 2005.

Ramon's superior talent and patient instruction give his students an advantage in learning the techniques and principles of Judo and Jujitsu.

Professor Randy Carrasco
Shichidan (7th Degree)

Randy Carrasco's martial arts studies began at age 12.  Randy is proud to be continuing under the mentorship of Professor Carlos Gallegos.  His training has included many travels to Hawaii and Asia which provided opportunities to develop and test his skills. He is the founder and tournament director of the Annual Doctor Kaito Summer Judo Tournament held in memory of Uncle Dave.

Randy leads the Huntington Beach Dojo which conducts regular classes on Tuesdays & Thdursdays (click here from more details)

Sensei Lee Firestone
Yodan (4th Degree)

Lee is an excellent martial artist and U.S. armed services veteran whose patience, experience and dedication make him a top instructor. Lee Started training with Professor Carlos Gallegos in 1995 and has been an integral part of Kaito Gakko in Orange County ever since.

Sensei Leo Lopez
Yodan (4th Degree)

A superb natural athlete, Leo Lopez combines his knowledge of physical fitness along with martial arts to help his students reach their full potential. Apart from earning his black belt from Professor Carlos Gallegos and studying with Uncle David Nuuhiwa, Leo is well versed in Brazilian Jujitsu (Franco de Camargo), Western Boxing, and tournament fighting.

Professor Kevin Dalrymple
Hachidan (8th Degree, SRY)

Professor Kevin Dalrymple serves as technical advisor to Kaito Gakko Fullerton. He has been a guest instructor many, many times, his technical knowledge of jujitsu and the the entire Danzan Ryu Boards is a tremendous asset.

Professor Dalrymple represents Shoshin Ryu Yudanshakai and is the head of Hi No De Ryu, which meets at the Orange YMCA (click here for their website).

Sensei Donn Hearn
Sandan (3rd Degree)

Donn Hearn is the head of Akita Martial Arts. He is a former member of SWAT and a retired Police Officer dedicated to teaching practical self-defense in any situation.

Donn is an excellent and committed instructor. His students have developed themselves to become strong competitors and dedicated martial artists.
